Procedure
| (1) | Please download and complete the AFPCM/AWPCM Initial Certification Application form, have it duly signed and send in together with a cheque payment make payable to “FPAS” at 146 Robinson Road, #04-02. Singapore 068909 as per the pro-rated fee indicated below:

To ensure a more efficient and regular schedule for processing, please be advised that with immediate effect, AFPCM/AWPCM Initial Certification Application will be processed on a monthly basis. Upon approval of your application, you will be issued the AFPCM/AWPCM license number and FPAS will notify you the date for collection of your AFPCM/AWPCM Certificate. Please allow 3-4 weeks for processing of your application.

Important Note
Student members, who qualify for the AFPCM certification application but do not need the use of the mark as yet, may choose not to make the application now. Those who wish to continue with the CFP® certification program may do so simply by renewing their FPAS Membership at $120 per annum (1 Jan-31 Dec) when it next expires. The FPAS Student Membership is solely for the purpose of pursuing the AFPCM/AWPCM/CFP® certification program. It is not an endorsement for use of the AFPCM/AWPCM mark.
For such members however, please note that application for the AFPCM/AWPCM certification made one year or thereafter the offer date from FPAS, will be subject to updates and changes in industry requirements. This is necessary to ensure that our calibre of ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNERs are of required standards. FPAS reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason(s) whatsoever.
Initial CFP® Certification Application
Eligibility for application
| CFP® - Must have | (i) completed the initial CFP® certification program and
(ii) fulfilled the requirement of having at least 3 years practical work experience related to financial planning. Details of experience requirement can be found on point 6 of the initial CFP® certification/application form. |

Your application will be reviewed and upon approval, you will be issued the CFP® license number and FPAS will notify you the date for collection of your CFP® Certificate. Please allow 3-4 weeks from the submission deadline for processing of your application.

Important Note
Student members who have not met the experience requirement or those who qualify for the initial CFP® certification application but do not see the need for the use of the mark as yet, are advised to take note of the ‘Timeliness of Experience’ requirement on page 2 of the application form.
Members Certification Renewal
The AFPCM/AWPCM/CFP® certification renewals are on a calendar year basis; i.e. Member is required to renew his/her certification from 01 January to 31 December every year.
